Riot Fest returns to Chicago’s Douglass Park September 19 – 21, 2026 with headliners Tool, Alanis Morissette, Morrissey, Twenty One Pilots and Pierce The Veil. To say this year’s lineup is diverse is an understatement; it’s all over the place.
Rise Against, Social Distortion, Alkaline Trio, Bad Religion and Nas are also set to perform at Riot Fest 2026..
Additional performers on the lineup include The All-American Rejects, The Format, Taking Back Sunday, Descendents, Pennywise, Bright Eyes, Mom Jeans, Iggy Pop and Elvis Costello & The Imposters.
The festival also features Pixies, Patti Smith, Sugar, Twin Peaks, Santigold, Gogol Bordello, Tricky, PUP, Motion City Soundtrack, The Beths, Joey Valence & Brae, Bayside and Thrice, among dozens of others.
Both Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter and Public Image Ltd are set to play Riot Fest this September. The latter features original Sex Pistols frontman John “Johnny Rotten” Lydon. It remains to be seen how that will go.
