She & Him performed together live for the first time since 2022 on last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. The group led by Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward threw back to their debut studio album, 2008’s Volume One, by delivering a spot-on version of “I Thought I Saw Your Face Today” on the ABC late-night television program.
All had been quiet in the She & Him world since Deschanel and Ward issued Melt Away: A Tribute To Brian Wilson and completed a tour in support of the album in 2022 until last fall. “I Thought I Saw Your Face Today” became a viral hit late in 2025 when the ballad was widely used in video edits on TikTok. The song became so popular 17 years after its initial release that it entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the duo’s first song to do so.
She & Him’s “I Thought I Saw Your Face Today” made it up to the #40 slot on the Billboard Hot 100 late last year and peaked at #35 on Billboard’s Global 200 chart. The song also entered the charts in Canada, India, the Netherlands, Singapore, the UK and many other countries.

One day after appearing on Kimmel, She & Him announced a cross-country fall tour. The Pump Up The Volumes tour is set for September and October.
