Tedeschi Trucks Band will reach a Beacon Theatre milestone when they return to the New York City venue for a 10-show residency in 2027. Opening night on March 16 will mark the band’s 75th performance at the historic Upper West Side theater, with the run continuing through April 3.
The residency begins with shows on March 16, 17, 19 and 20. TTB then returns on March 24, 26, 27 and 31 before wrapping up with concerts on April 2 and 3.
“We had no idea we would wind up playing 75 and counting shows here, when we did our first show,” Derek Trucks said in the announcement video.
Trucks and Susan Tedeschi first brought their namesake ensemble to the Beacon on September 10, 2011. What began as a single concert grew into a recurring residency, expanding to six-show runs by 2016. The band’s Beacon visits have become occasions to introduce new material, dig into their songbook and collaborate with special guests.
Trucks’ history with the room extends back to his tenure in The Allman Brothers Band, which he joined in 1999. The guitarist was a fixture of the Allmans’ March Madness residencies through their final concert on October 28, 2014. That farewell was the group’s 238th show at the Beacon.
“We play multiple nights. You’ll see a lot of familiar faces. You can’t phone it in at the Beacon,” Trucks explained.
“I think it’s the best audience in the world, the New York City audience and the Beacon audience especially. They show up and they want you to bring it. So we appreciate it.”
TTB’s 2026 Beacon residency also spanned 10 shows. The run featured cover debuts and the live rollout of material from Future Soul, which arrived during the residency. For the March 28 finale, the band played the album in reverse track order and welcomed Jaimoe, Warren Haynes and Cyndi Lauper. Trucks reunited with his former Allman Brothers bandmates Jaimoe and Haynes for “Dreams” and “Whipping Post.”
A venue presale begins Thursday, October 29 at 10 a.m. ET using the code SOCIAL. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, October 30 at 10 a.m. ET.
