Last night, Hayley Williams closed out a three-night stand at the famed Ryman Auditorium in her hometown of Nashville. The Paramore frontwoman brought out three guests during the concert, most notably singer-songwriter Noah Kahan.

Hayley Williams told the crowd amid her set that she was bringing out a new friend. Williams revealed she met the guest while in L.A. at the Grammys earlier this year and couldn’t get enough of his new album. She then introduced Noah Kahan to rapturous applause.

Noah Kahan just released The Great Divide, his highly anticipated fourth studio album. Kahan debuted the record’s “Downfall” with help from Williams at The Ryman. The pair delivered a stirring version of the song, which Noah had yet to perform live previously.

Williams is touring in support of her solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party. One song before Kahan’s appearance, Hayley performed the title track from the record. Tennessee State Representative Justin Jones came out at the beginning of “Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party” to sit at the piano with Williams.

Jones played tambourine during the song and addressed the crowd, stating:

“Power to the people! Hayley, you taught me an important lesson. You said that we bury our friends in the morning, we protest in the afternoon and we dance all night and that is the legacy of our moment right now. You also taught me that we can still believe in Nashville. Not the Nashville of these racist fuckers like Kid Rock, Morgan Wallen, Jason Aldean … but the Nashville that stands up to white supremacy. The Nashville that stands up against transphobia, islamophobia, homophobia. So fuck white supremacy, fuck Marsha Blackburn, fuck Bill Lee, fuck gentrification and power to the people! Let’s shut it down, Nashville. Let’s shut some shit down. Let’s shut that Elon Musk tunnel down. Let’s shut down the state capitol and let’s stand up together.”

After the 19-song main set, Hayley Williams welcomed her final guest of the evening to begin her encore. Williams was joined by longtime collaborator, producer and musician Daniel James. The pair recently launched a new project dubbed Power Snatch. Daniel James teamed with Daniel James and her band for the live premiere of one of those songs, “DMs.”

Williams then returned to Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party to seal the concert, run and encore with the string of “Discovery Channel,” “I Won’t Quit On You” and “Parachute.” The tour continues this weekend in Austin.
