Extramusical activities include an artisan market boasting wares from Vermont makers and local vendors. Snugfest puts an emphasis on “handmade, vintage, upcycled, and sustainably sourced goods, reinforcing the Snug Foundation’s commitment to more sustainable ways of living,” as per a press release.
Snugfest benefits nonprofit The Snug Foundation, which is “dedicated to promoting kindness and compassion toward animals, people and the planet.” Read more about The Snug Foundation below:
The Snugfest Committee (Colleen Todd, Ray Paczkowski, Jenna & Bill Hunsinger, Brooke Wilcox, Jenn & Eric Montgomery and Alex Cox) founded Snugfest in Ripton, Vermont, from a desire to create a welcoming community where people could coexist with kindness, acceptance and respect for the planet. Since its inception, proceeds from the festival have supported local community programs and individuals experiencing unexpected hardships. Past beneficiaries have included Ripton flood victims, the Ripton Country Store, Wiley Side Farm (a therapeutic farm program for adults with intellectual differences) and Silver Towers Camp (a residential camp for people with disabilities ages six to seventy-five who are physically and mentally challenged).
