Louis Tomlinson’s How Did We Get Here? Tour arrived in Japan on Tuesday. The concert at Zepp Namba in Osaka saw the former One Direction member covering Foo Fighters favorite “My Hero.”
The song appears on Foo Fighters’ second album, 1997’s The Colour and the Shape. Tomlinson performed “My Hero” for the first time in public, offering a stripped-down version accompanied by acoustic guitar. The Brit previously unveiled his take for a performance video captured in the SiriusXM studios.
The British pop star wrapped the North American leg of his international tour supporting his 2026 album, How Did I Get Here?, in July. Tomlinson now resumes the tour in Japan, with a run through Australia on the horizon and a South America stint set for 2027.
Tomlinson’s trip to Japan began in Osaka, where he kicked off the concert with How Did I Get Here? opener “Lemonade.” Tomlinson put the focus on his 2026 record throughout the show, performing all 12 tracks from the original album as well as two bonus tracks from the deluxe edition: “The Observer” and “The Answer.”
Louis also touched on his One Direction days with “Night Changes” and unveiled a new song, “The Spark.” Just ahead of “Night Changes,” Tomlinson nodded to the Foo Fighters with a take on “My Hero.”
