Watch the pair share vocals as Musgraves revives her Brooks & Dunn disguise.

Kacey Musgraves gave Ronnie Dunn a surprise of his own when he joined her at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Monday. Musgraves emerged dressed as the Brooks & Dunn singer for their “Neon Moon” duet during the second of two Nashville stops on her Middle Of Nowhere Tour.
“You guys stay put. I gotta go get somebody. Hold on,” Musgraves told the audience before the reveal, as reported by Whiskey Riff. Dunn did a double take as he looked at his doppelgänger. The two then shared vocal duties on the Brooks & Dunn classic.
The costume was a callback to Musgraves’ surprise appearance at Robert’s Western World in March. She slipped into the Nashville honky-tonk to sing “Neon Moon” disguised as Dunn, complete with a wig, faux facial hair, sunglasses and replicas of his tattoos. Dunn approved of the impersonation, commenting on Instagram, “Damn, I look good!”
Musgraves’ connection to “Neon Moon” extends beyond the disguise. She joined Brooks & Dunn for a new version of the song on their 2019 collaborative album, Reboot, and co-produced the recording with Dann Huff. The duo also surprised fans by joining Musgraves for “Neon Moon” at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on March 1, 2019.
Monday’s set also included covers of the Texas Tornados’ “(Hey Baby) ¿Qué Pasó?” and George Strait’s “All My Ex’s Live In Texas” alongside Musgraves originals spanning her catalog.
