‘Gilded Age’ Cast Comes Together for First Holiday Album: Full Track List

As fans of The Gilded Age know, HBO’s Emmy-nominated series about America’s massive move into industrialization in the late 1800s and the robber barons who drove and profited from the rapid growth, is stacked with Broadway actors in its cast.

Now, many of the actors, including Tony winners Brian Stokes Mitchell, Christine Baranski, Kelli O’Hara, Laura Benanti, Donna Murphy and Audra McDonald, will be featured on Voices of the Gilded Age: The Christmas Album, out Nov. 6 on Concord Theatricals Recordings. The release comes days after the season 4 premiere of the show on Nov. 1.

Grammy-nominated producer/songwriter Desmond Child conceived and helmed the set, which features classic holiday songs, as well as two original songs, penned by Child.

“I’ve been waiting my whole life to make this record, and I’m still in awe that I was able to bring it to life alongside some of Broadway’s most extraordinary voices,” Child said in a statement. “Together we’ve created a loving tribute to our favorite Christmas songs, legendary artists, lyricists, composers, and arrangers whose timeless music has warmed our hearts and filled our lives with joy.”

The album expanded on what are widely considered holiday tunes. For example, O’Hara, Murphy and McDonald come together for “I Remember” from Stephen Sondheim’s “I Remember.” Additionally, as the title suggests, the album doesn’t focus on holiday tunes popular before and during The Gilded Age, such as “What Child Is This” or “Come All Ye Faithful,” but rather highlights the extremely rich vocal talents of the cast.  

The first single, “The World Needs Some Christmas,” arrived Friday (Sept. 25), performed by 2026 Theater World Award winner Ben Ahlers, who plays servant-turned-inventor on The Gilded Age.
