Led by the sons of The Allman Brothers Band’s Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts, Devon Allman and Duane Betts announced the 10th annual Allman Betts Family Reunion Tour. Presented by Gibson, the guest-filled run takes place from late November into December.
Guests joining The Allman Betts Band on the tour — titled “A Decade of Revival” after the ABB album A Decade of Hits 1969–1979 — include Robert Randolph, Sierra Hull, Judith Hill, Andy Frasco, Luther Dickinson, Jimmy Hall, Steel Beans, Larry McCray, Cody Dickinson, and other artists.
“10 years strong! It’s a gift playing this timeless songbook with so many of our beautiful, talented friends,” Duane Betts stated. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to have the Revival continue into year 10. See y’all on the road!”
The show will feature two sets, “the first to honor the original lineup and focus on songs from the 1970s, while the second set will recapture the electricity of the 1990s era by focusing on songs from the Allman Brothers’ renaissance,” according to press materials.
“I can’t believe it’s been 10 years of our beautiful gathering of friends to celebrate our dads’ songbook,” Devon Allman said. “Being the faithful custodians to this historic body of work is not lost on Duane and I. It is our high honor. We couldn’t possibly hold it any closer to our hearts. We can’t wait to evoke the spirits and celebrate 10 years. Be with us.”
“A Decade of Revival” kicks off on November 28 at the Stifel Theatre in St. Louis. The tour will also make stops in Indiana, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New York, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Louisiana. The trek wraps with two nights at The Fillmore in San Francisco December 19 and 20.
Following a presale beginning Thursday, August 20, general onsales begin Friday, August 21 at 10 a.m. local.
