Brandon Flowers brought his Thrasher Tour home to Salt Lake City for a concert Friday at Red Butte Garden. The Killers frontman, who is touring in support of his solo album Thrasher, covered Oasis while accompanied by his 15-year-old son, Henry Flowers.
Flowers opened with “The Red Ground” and worked through “Does It Ever Cross Your Mind?,” “Crossfire,” “Tiger’s Blood,” “Plans,” “Paradise,” “Still Want You,” “Angel,” “Magdalena” and “Miss America” before playing The Killers’ “In the Car Outside” and “Hard Enough.”
Flowers then covered Oasis’ “Don’t Look Back In Anger,” bringing his son Henry Flowers onstage to play guitar on the song. He followed with The Killers’ global hit, “Mr. Brightside,” marking its first performance of the Thrasher Tour.
The set continued with “Lonely Town,” “Can’t Deny My Love” and “Only the Young.” Flowers returned for an encore of The Killers’ “In Another Life” and “Read My Mind” before closing the night with “An American Dream.”
