Earl Scruggs Music Festival returns to Tryon International Equestrian Center for its fifth annual Labor Day Weekend celebration in Mill Spring, North Carolina on September 4 – 6, 2026. The Avett Brothers and Greensky Bluegrass have been tapped to headline the three-day event held in honor of pioneering bluegrass banjoist Earl Scruggs.
The 2026 lineup also features Béla Fleck, Del McCoury Band, The Earls of Leicester, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage, Della Mae, Laurie Lewis & The Right Hands, artist-in-residence Alison Brown and many more.
Additional acts set to perform at the 2026 Earl Scruggs Music Festival include Lonesome River Band, Lindsay Lou, Rissi Palmer, John Cowan, Travis Book, East Nash Grass, The Special Consensus, Darin and Brooke Aldridge, Andy Falco, Luke Bulla, Mountain Grass Unit and Magoo, among others.
This year, the festival will debut its Louise Scruggs Stage in tribute to the groundbreaking achievements of Earl’s beloved wife and manager. Additionally, all Legends workshop programming will move to the Foggy Mountain stage, which will also host performances throughout the weekend, allowing festivalgoers easy access to both intimate and engaging live music experiences.
