Phoebe Bridgers is the latest artist to clock a performance for the Sound Check at Cherry Lane Theatre series. The singer-songwriter welcomed her boygenius bandmates Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker for songs from her new album Lost Weekend and more.
Bridgers captured the Sound Check at Cherry Lane Theatre play in Manhattan’s West Village following a sold-out, three-night run at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center in September.
Her boygenius bandmates Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker also joined her in Brooklyn before decamping to Cherry Lane for the performance series shoot. The trio performed “Haunted” and “Lost Boys” from Bridgers’ first solo studio album in six years.
Lance Oppenheim directed Phoebe’s Sound Check at Cherry Lane Theatre performance and also directed the upcoming film PRIMETIME, where Phoebe makes her acting debut. Additionally, Bridgers delivered an acoustic rendition of a song she wrote for the movie’s soundtrack, “On Video,” at Cherry Lane featuring longtime collaborator Ethan Gruska.
