Olivia Rodrigo returned to Saturday Night Live and performed a new song, “begged,” with the help of Weyes Blood. Rodrigo’s appearance, which marked her first time hosting SNL, also included a performance of her new single, “drop dead.”
Both “begged” and “drop dead” will be part of Rodrigo’s highly anticipated third album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, which will be released on June 12. Rodrigo once again recorded the album with Dan Nigro, who also produced her 2021 debut album SOUR and its 2023 follow-up, GUTS.
Rodrigo will support you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love on The Unraveled Tour, an extensive global outing featuring over 60 shows across North America and Europe. The North American leg runs begins in September.
Shortly after its release last month, the single “drop dead” reached the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles chart. Actor Connor Storrie made an unannounced appearance on SNL and introduced “begged.” Another surprise guest, Blondie’s Debbie Harry, went live from 30 Rock to introduce “drop dead.”
